Apple “killed” the MacBook 12, but updated the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro

Apple has updated the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 13 laptops. The changes affected only the internal components.

Both devices received an 8th generation Intel processor. True Tone technology has reached the MacBook Air. It adjusts the color temperature of the display depending on the lighting, so that the eyes get less tired and it becomes more comfortable to work.

In the MacBook Pro dual-core processors were replaced by quad-core with a frequency of 1.4 GHz. The most basic models received the Touch Bar, which was previously installed only in more advanced versions. Also a fingerprint scanner, True Tone, stereo and chip Apple T2 Security Chip.

MacBook 12 is out of production. Apparently, Apple decided that the updated devices will easily replace it. It was introduced in 2015 and opened up a new era of Apple notebook design: the first with USB Type-C, butterfly keyboard and no glowing logo.

This is an expected step: the MacBook Air is better and not much different from the MacBook 12 in price. Do not forget about the iPad Pro, which the company is positioning as a replacement for the PC.

The laptop has simply become another device that needs to be maintained and which confuses customers in their choice. Therefore, his “death” is the right decision.
